Lets start the first review in our home pool...

We dive out of a local bar here in Concord CA.  No, its not one of the poser bars downtown, a lot of people in the neighborhood don't even know its here, just a hole in the wall, maybe 14 stools, and three tables, great crowd, everyone's friendly. The Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Bartender looks like Robert Goulet and he's just as nice.  This place is the home of the "Shoot the root" A  shot of root beer schnapps in a mug of Bud. chug it down! sounds lame, tastes refreshing,  If you're lucky you will be there on a Friday when  Mr. Goulet is mixing "Purple Hooters" or "Woo-Woo's", when told "Hey! this is pretty good! his reply was "Yeah they're a lot better since I started measuring".  It's standing room only most Fridays, yet service is still exceptionally fast ,don't forget that when you tip.  There may be an assortment of bikes out front,  nothing too scary. This place also has a pretty good selection of tequilas for a Chinese food joint.  on a 1 to 10 scale nothing on the menu rates less than an 8, great food!  The name of the place escapes me at the moment..
